Susan B. Anthony may be an international icon but her campaign for women’s rights had personal roots. Working as a school teacher in New York, Anthony refused to settle for less pay than her male colleagues which ignited her lifelong devotion to women’s equality. Anthony toured the United States and Europe giving speeches and publishing articles as one of the most important advocates of women’s rights. Pretty good book. But has anyone held this book side by side with the "Who Was Clara Barton?" book? The artist's renditions are nearly identical... At first I thought, "this artist is lazy and probably uses the same model for each woman in this series." It would be quite a coincidence if they looked so much alike in reality. But after a brief google search, it turns out that, yes, the two women do have similar features. Kudos to you, cover illustrator!

I teach third grade. I purchased a "Who Was...?" Book for each of my students at their reading level. They love them. What a great way to introduce biographies to third graders!

This book helped me so much for a school project. I give the Who Was Series a five-star for every book! I would recommend this book to anyone.

My 8 year old granddaughter is devouring these books. Have given her 12 of them and she really loves reading about historical figures.

Love this whole series! I use them in my classroom and it's great for teaching kids how to read nonfiction.

I like that there is so much information about Susan B. Anthony.

Very readable and interesting for my 11 yr old. Great book!
