I bought several of these biographies for my sixth graders, and they have enjoyed them. They are a quick read about important people from our history. They are just the right size for the chalk tray so they are constantly visible and easily accessible to the kids to pick up when they have a few spare minutes. The format and photos appeal to the kids as well as the topics.
This book is another great resource. A bit more difficult for my particular students, but a great resource and a good reading helper for our older buddy class to help with their reports. Thank you for your prompt delivery.
This pamphlet is totally inaccurate. The inventor of the telephone is the Italian scientist and inventor Antonio Meucci. On June 11, 2002, long after his death, the U.S. Congress passed House Resolution 269, introduced by Rep. Vito Fossella of Staten Island, which recognizes the life and achievements of Antonio Meucci, and his work in the invention of the telephone.
Thought it was time for my 3rd grade granddaughter to start reading some biographies. This was an excellent choice - she loved it. I highly recommend this book.
It worked well for a middle school biography project done in Social Studies. It contains plenty of information and is well presented so itis a nice read.
This series is great supplement reading for social studies. It is a nicely written and has visual interest. We will buy more titles.
My daughter loves to read about historic figures. This book delivers a lot of information to kids in a fun format.
Using this book for a 3rd grade book report. There are plenty of plenty of pictures and it's easy to follow.
