I buy these calendars every year to give as Christmas gifts. I've given my dad one for Christmas every year for probably the past 10 years and he always loves them. It's a family tradition for my dad to unwrap this every Christmas and set it on the dining table. I am so disappointed to see that there isn't a King James Version available this year. I only use the King James Version Bible and I would not buy any other version for personal use or to give as a gift. Please bring back the King James Version of this calendar.
I have bought these calendars for years, since even before the pictures were added, because the verses were from that beautiful King James Version. This year, I missed the changed description of NEW King James Version, and I have boxes of calendars I will attempt to return to . Please bring back the King James Version. I'm very disappointed. :-(
Still the best of all the Bible Verse calendars out there. The photos are breathtaking, the verses inspiring. The yellow plastic backer is the only thing I would like to change. It sometimes clashes a bit with the photos. The green backer from 2 years ago was a better match. Other than that, the calendar is perfect, and will offer a year of inspiration. It's wonderful. I purchased 20 of these as gifts, only to find the publisher has stopped using the KJV. I wonder if they realize how many people will be disappointed with their decision? I'm undecided whether to still give these as gifts, or to return them. I'm not sure the recipients will want them now. I've been buying these calendars for years and years. I don't know that I will buy them again next year unless they bring the KJV back.
I give this as a Christmas gift to my Mom each year for her spiritual nourishment. She says that she can't do without it and holds it close to her heart when she receives it. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that Workman Publishing no longer makes the large print no image calendar anymore. I too missed the fact that it is no longer the traditional King James version of the Bible. I used to buy several of these, but now I just buy 1 a year. Next year I hope to find a large print that you can view across the room and also a King James version.
I too was disappointed to discover that they switched from the KJV to the New KJV. The New KJV is not a faithful translation, making changes to key words that is far deeper than just the removal of the old English pronouns (compare Galatians 2:16 in both versions as an example). Because of this, I will not be using this calendar this year, after 5 years of having it. Hopefully they will change back to the KJV next year. I'm grateful to see that there are other options out there for a daily Bible calendar that still uses the KJV.

I was very disappointed in the types of verses in this calendar. It seemed like they were computer-generated, many of which would've been more confusing or depressing than uplifting. I'm not hating on Scripture by any means, but it doesn't seem like any thought was put into the making of this calendar!
