The calendar appears to be decent, although i would prefer slightly more pronounced pictures of the moon. If the room is not brightly lit you would need to look hard at the calendar But this is not a major concern.The calendar printed in Korea. Since it is made for America and Canada, I assume the times for void of course moon and for entering Zodiac signs are not given in Korean time zone. Then which time they use? Canadian, U.S. east coast? U.S. west coast? no indication anywhere on the calendar.My phone app iLuna which is on New York time shows different time than Lunaria. So I am confused. They should clearly indicate the time zone on the calendar.
The biggest complaint about this calendar are the moon phases that are printed on the paper so lightly, that they are difficult to see. The printers should have used a descent quantity of black ink to give the moon phases the visibility they should have been given.The next complaint is about the full page pictures for each month that are located on the upper page. They were down right ugly.And the last, but certainly not the least of complaints about this calendar, is how they discriminate against the New Moon. When the Full Moon comes around each month, they put a moon symbol on that day, and they have Full Moon typed in large letters. But when the New Moon comes around each month, they have no moon symbol, and they have new moon typed in small letters giving the impression that they view the New Moon as having less importance than the Full Moon.Having the phases of the moon on a calendar is a great idea, but I will not be purchasing this one ever again.
I'm really glad to see the calendar is back in print. I love the layout, and the art work is superb! The calendar is very easy to read and interpret I got another astrological calendar from a different publisher for this year, and it is really lame.Thanks Vicki
I had an edition of this true Lunar Calendar (one page for each moon cycle rather than calendar month) a few years ago, but then could not find it in stock year after year until now. As before, it is full of fascinating artwork and information related to lunar traditions and mythology from many cultures. There are many resources for a scientific perspective on Earth's Moon, but few resources as rich as this for the historical, cultural, artistic, and religious side of the relationship between humanity and our Moon.
I love this Calendar, I use to get the daily planner regularly and was very bummed when they stopped making it. This calendar has all that the daily planner had just not carried around so I can always check the latest moon sign or next time I can plant as easily... I prefer it to the 'other' day planner as I don't necessarily want or need all the art and poetry. I will keep buying as long as they make it & would buy the planner again if it comes back.
I've been using the Lunaria desk and wall calendars for the past decade or so; sadly, the desk version is no longer available. The wall calendar, however, is filled with vintage poetry and references, clear astrological scheduling and the precise movement and phases of the moon.
I have been getting this calendar for years and I glad to see that Vicki is back at it again with some amazing color images to go along with it. Thanks Vicki for making the best calendar out there and keeping me in touch with the moon phases and helping me rethink how to keep track of the year via the moon.
