Love it, love it, love it!!! The storyline is simple and explains the life cycle of the frog in terms young children can understand. But it also exposes children to new vocabulary, such as spawn and gills. The pictures are photographs that draw your children in. They take the time to show you some of those photographs up close, such as one frog egg and the frog's webbed feet. Kids really understand the life cycle after reading this book. I used it in my various classrooms as a teacher--preschool through 2nd grades. Can I say it again?! LOVE IT!

My son liked this book alot. He is eight and this was a great easy reader for him that explained the life cycle in clear terms he could both read and understand. We also purchased the safari life cycle set and they went together very well! He could match up each toy to the part he was reading about, and use both the wonderful photos and toys to really understand the life cycle. Very Nice book!

This is definitely not a Level 1 book. My son can read level 1 books with basically no trouble and some level 2's. However, he struggled the whole way through this book and got frustrated/ lost interest. I have read it to him several times and he is starting to learn the words from that but it is definitely at least a Level 2 or 3 when compared to the Step to Reading or other leveled books we have read.

I used this for my daycare frog lesson plan. It was easy to understand and the pictures were great. It was a hit. NOT for independent reading until about 7 years old - it's not that sturdy.

I bought this for one of my students I tutor because she really loved my copy (which is slightly different but the content is mostly the same). Between my copy and her new copy (this version), she prefers mine but she claims this version is just as good.

It captivated their attention from front to back!Very appropriate content for this age group. They loved the colorful pictures.

I purchased this reader and another about dinosaurs for our grandson for Christmas. He loved both of them. He is in kindergarten and reading already. The subject matter held his attention and he reads them over and over and talks about both of them. I highly recommend them for beginning readers.

Easy nonfiction book that struggling readers or beginning readers can read. I loved the pictures. It helped my students understand and see the life cycle of a frog.
