My son (currently 9yo) grabbed this out from our local library and I thought, "Oh great. Another book about reptiles (or dinos or other scary beasties)." But this one took my breath away. Truly a gorgeous presentation. I have to say I didn't read it for content (neither did he) and it's going back to the library now, but we will be checking this series out again and maybe buying them as gifts for boys interested in this sort of thing.
