Love this book. A good mix of intricate mandalas and abstract drawings. Bic Mark-It, Sharpies and the higher-end alcohol-based markers work well on these pages but place a blank page or two between pages if you are not tearing them out to avoid bleed through. Fine line markers, gel pens and colored pencils all work well and do not bleed. Pages are not perforated but are easy to tear out if you prefer. Images printed on one side of the page. Another great Angie Grace book with hours of fun adult coloring.
What a fun coloring book! It has just the right combination of symmetry (mandalas, etc.) and quirky whimsy. There is a lot of detail here, but it's not overwhelming. I've used colored pencils (Prismacolor), water-based markers (Crayola SuperTips), and alcohol-based markers (Bic Mark-Its ultra fine point and fine point), and they all work nicely.The designs are printed on one side only, so that's a plus. The markers do have a tendency to bleed through, however, so be sure to put a piece of paper behind the design you're coloring to prevent inadvertent bleeding onto the following page/design. I just use a piece of paper from my printer.I have several other Angie Grade books but I gravitate to this one and her "Balance" book -- they're about equal in terms of the level of detail. Angie was one of the "early" artists doing coloring books for adults -- her first book came out in late 2012, and there are a lot of her books available here. Her style is instantly recognizable -- and her designs provide hours of de-stressing.
I love Angie Grace coloring books. I ordered a bunch of them, and love the different designs. Mostly, I color in them with markers, so I appreciate the fact that the pages are one-sided, as markers WILL soak through the paper! (Definitely put scrap paper between what you're coloring and the next page, if using markers.)
I've a few of Angies coloring books now. I find a book & a box of quality colored pencils does a ton to get me into a relaxed state when I still want to share time with family & not necessarily go off alone to meditate as I often do. If you've never tried coloring as an adult, you probably should. It was my 21 yr old who taught her mom yet again. Ty Kelsi..!!!
I decided to challenge my coloring abilities with this coloring book. I usually get the her "wide tipped marker" coloring books. But I was getting bored with them, so I decided to try this book. I am happy I did. Coloring in this book is a lot of fun, even though it is more time consuming because the designs are a lot more intricate.
A wonderful addition to the Angie Grace line of coloring books.Each page takes you on a coloring adventure of fun and fantasy.A great book if you are an expert or just love coloring, like me.I think this book is best for thin markers or pens, not crayons or wide markers.
What a beautiful book! If it had perforations so we could share and display it'd be that much better.
I love these designs! Great level of detail and each provides hours of coloring fun. For these I use Marvy Uchida's Le Plume II markers, but colored pencils or other fine tipped/brush markers would work well also.
