Overall this is a well put together calendar, generally providing high-quality images from the original series. However, one star must be deducted for the inclusion of the "I, Mudd" image for the month of May, as they have chosen a CG image of the Enterprise orbiting a planet from the retooled version of the show. It simply looks horrible. An original special effects shot of the Enterprise model and planet would have been infinitely more enjoyable to have up for an entire month.
There's no story here, only scenes from the original series complete with quotes from each episode features in that month. Usually the most memorable line in that particular episode. Trekkers will love it; non-fans will be tempted to see the show to find out about the quotes, which is fine with me, as it will spread the love of Star Trek more rapidly than a tribble can multiple.
What else is there to review about a calendar? The printing is high-quality and the monthly images should be familiar to all fans of Star Trek TOS. I get this calendar every year and I enjoy seeing it hang on my wall.Nota bene: the January image and caption is hilarious! You'll get it when you see it....
Ah! Its amazing and amazing quality too! I always get a little moved when I see the original cast, anything with TOS Spock really. :) came super quick and very happy I have this! Even tho it's just 2k16 I will still love this for years to come. :)
My wife, Regina buys me all the Star Trek items because she knows that I Have been and Always will be , a Fan. My name is Charlie, the name my mother gave me shortly after naming me Charles,Go figure! I have not oped the calendar yet because I like to keep things as new as I get them for collecting purposes you see. OK I`ll open it up because now you have my interest peeked. Thanks a bunch! STAR TREK IS MY LIFE.I love the stills they used for this calendar.Also, super excited that January is "The Man Trap" with George Takai.It just makes sense, AND I get to look at his face all month.
got the 2015 Original Trek calendar and loved it Very good design, a bit on the high end side. The photos chosen for the months are beautifully reproduced. There was nothing like the Original Star Trek and I was there watching it back in the 60s
This can't really be considered a review, as it's simply a collection of twelve photos that I've seen before ~ although the price is lower than in years past. So I decided to save my money and reuse my calendar from 1988 ~ the days match this year's.
