My three year old son LOVES this book. This is one of his favorite tv shows. We have to read this book to him every night before he goes to sleep. It has several flaps per page. It keeps him entertained from the beginning all the way to the end.
My daughter (5) and son (3) are both fans of the show and this book. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is the same story as the episode in which Crusher steals Gabby's toolbox. I like my kids to see their favorite stories retold in multiple formats so I don't have an issue with it. The quality of the book is good, the flaps have held up to multiple readings. My quibble with the book is that some of the flaps really should be opened in a particular order to propel the story forward however this is not indicated in any way on the outside of the flaps (ie. by numbering them). I find this mildly annoying enough to mention it and also consider it a missed opportunity to incorporate basic math skills. It's definitely not an award winner but it's a fun read for fans of the show.
My 2 1/2 year old son is obsessed with all things "Blaze," so I knew this book would be a hit. He asks us to read just about every night before bed. The flaps he lifts up and it really adds to his enjoyment.
Cute book but not exactly what I expected with the title "Pop the Hood" and a picture of under blaze's hood i figured the book would be about the insides of the monster trucks, the engines and how they run which fascinates my son. The book is instead (for those familiar with the show) the episode "Tool Duel". It is a really cute book my son loves the flaps and I would recommend it for blaze fans.
My son loves this book. There are at least four or more flaps per page and it really helps keep the kids engaged. My son actually reads this book to me now as we have been reading it everyday since receiving for his birthday earlier this month.
This is a great quality book. I was however hoping it would be a new story, not a book from one of the episodes. (I have watched each of them 50 times already)
I thought my grandson would lose interest in this book quickly, but he surprised the heck out of me because he simply won't put it down. (he's a Blaze fanatic).Excellent purchase.
My great grandson loves Blade. I was impressed with all the flaps for kids to open and look at. There were more than I've ever seen in a book like this before. It is also a good quality book.
