The glow in the dark feature in this book is really cool! You have to read in the dark with a flashlight for a great effect but my son wants to read this book over and over and over again! This was a great purchase!
This is a great glow in the dark book - you have to hold it up to an incandescent light bulb (not fluorescent) for a few seconds and then turn off the light and it really glows!! My 19-month old grandson can identify the cat, dog, and owl with the lights out.
This book is very nice. It's sturdy which is great for busy hands and mouths. The glow in the dark part of it isn't the best, it's hard to see in the dark but they love it. My boys are 10 months old and love the thick cardboard "board" books and they hold up to all that they put their toys and books through. It is a rather small book, but it's perfect to throw in the diaper bag or take with to grandma and grandpas!
I just received this book I ordered for my 3 year old grandson as a Christmas gift. He loves tractors and is going to love this book. It is very well made,the colors are very vibrant the story is very cute and YES it really does glow in the dark. I would definitely reccommend this.
grandpa chose this one. John Deere restorer and collector. Naturally Grandson, Moo, had to have a glow in the dark bedtime storybook! Must admit both Grandpa and Moo are soooo pleased. GREAT CHOICE by grandpa! good price and had the storybook in hand within 48hrs from ordering.
My 2 1/2 year old twins recently got their first John Deere tractor toys and I thought a John Deere book would be perfect to help pique their interest. Goodnight, Johnny Tractor is a nice board book story about Johnny Tractor and his friend, Allie Gator, who are saying good night to the animals on the farm. The book is perfect for young children because it's not too short and not too long and it engages kids since it asks them to see who is still awake on each page. My kids love the fact that the book is glow-in-the dark too! They love pointing out the pictures after we turn out the lights and the pictures glow for several minutes which is great. I love how the book is very durable and is a fun, simple story that gets them ready for bed. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes tractors and fun goodnight stories!
Both of our children love this book. We originally only read this at bedtime, but it quickly became a book that is read throughout the day. It is very easy to make this book interactive by asking what animals they see and how many of each item they see. The glow in the dark feature is cool, but it takes a couple of minutes of light shining on each page for it to work properly so we don't use it often unless we plan ahead. The story has the same characters as other books in the series. The only downside is that the binding broke after a few weeks, but this is common for all of the board books that we read frequently. A little glue and tape and the book is as good as new!
My 2 year old son is obsessed with John Deere. He loves this book, and we work on identifying animals and their noises. I like that there is a racoon and owl, since they do not appear in many children's books.
