My daughter is currently in what we are calling the "George phase." We must read at least one of the The Complete Adventures of Curious George: 70th Anniversary Edition before bed every night, and now this "new" George before quiet time in the afternoon. She loves finding George and the items specified for each vignette. We now ask her to find other random items on each page, and she has a blast! If you've got a George fan in your house, I would definitely recommend this for your collection.
It's a great idea, but we found the sequel to be significantly better than this one. Graphics, scenes, and objects are all much better details in the "Around-The-Town" book that recent became published. If you had to choose, get the sequel. Otherwise, this one isn't bad.
I'm posting this for my two year old grand daughter who grabbed the book when she saw Curious George and wouldn't even let me see it. I didn't get a chance to read it to her but my daughter did and my grand daughter was enthralled. I didn't have the heart to tell her it needed to stay at grandma's house so I let her take it home with her and I am ordering another one for my house. I would recommend this. I have two grandlings, ages 2 and 3 and they are both fascinated with anything about Curious George. They love him!
My son likes Curious George, after reading the book a couple of times he started to remember where things were, but there are enough items/details on the page that i can change it up and ask him to spot something not in the list. The pages have nice rhymes.
You know it's a good book when your kid loves it and you're sick of it :)My toddler (2.5 yrs) loves to find things in this book. You don't have to follow the reading/guide at all, just look at the pictures together and tell them what to find. Hours of enjoyment, even if mom and dad are so tired of this book that they sometimes hide it (oops).
Our sons favorite!! Great for fine motor skills. Its big and colorful. He was pointing objects at 1 years old!! I used this on our home and took the fun finds and used our skills out and about in the real world.
My 3 year old loves the "look and find" books at the doctor's office. She also loves Curious George, so this book was perfect. I think the pictures are a little small and the one page that you have to turn vertically is a challenge for her. Very cute and I love the I-spy activity.
My almost 3 grandson loves this book and we have read it over and over and over. He likes to locate all the objects in each picture. Very cleverly done.
