I love gorillas and all things related to them. I bought this book even though I don't have kids! I liked that it discusses Dian Fossey and the mountain gorillas, as well as world-famous Koko. I was just so pleased to see gorillas described as they truly are. A book like this could inspire children to want to help save these gentle giants. I sure hope so, anyway.
I purchased this book for my 7 year old son's Language Arts class with his charter school. It is a very informative, well written book which we both enjoyed reading. The illustrations are also very nice. We can hardly wait to order more books of the same kind for his upcoming Language Arts lessons!
Informative, easy read for my 2nd grader. The front cover lead me to think there would be more photographs in the book. It was 99% illustrated, which is fine, i just wanted to mention it.
This was a required read for my son's 2nd grade Reading class. He absolutely loved it. If you have a 6-8 year old who adores animals, check this book out!
My 2nd grader loves this book! Very informative with great illustrations! Perfect for 2nd and 3rd grade level reading. Highly recommended.
Love this book. It was purchased for my 8 year old grandson for a book report. The book is just the right size, not too complicated to read, and he loved the information as it was presented.
Super cute book. High interest, great pics, vocabulary development and not too long. Third grade lexile range.
