My son is 2.5 and he loved this book. Not only is it educational and teaches children about instruments from around the world but it makes it easy for children to understand and the pictures are beautiful. My only complaint was that it is not a series.. or maybe that it didn't delve more into pictures of India and Sri Lanka. HINT HINT: On about Sri Lanka or India would be a great follow up.
Well ... full disclosure ... I'm biased. I know the author ;pBUT I know my nephew will adore it when I give it to him - the pictures are great, and I learned about instruments I was unaware of even as an adult.
My girlfriend is a reading teacher, and her kids are OBSESSED with this book! Highly recommend it to anyone who wants their kids to enjoy reading!
A great book! Very cute, and very informative. You all must have a great time traveling and learning about music from all over the world!
