Wow this book is huge! I can't believe the quality of the book either. I bought it for my 4 year old granddaughter but think I will save it until next year, when I think she will enjoy it more. This is probably the best book like this I've seen!
The reason for giving this four instead of 5 stars has nothing to do with the contents (which is 5 stars), it has to do with the binding. The book did not hold up real well with reading it night after night! We taped and retaped because it was a favorite amongst my children. The lessons learned in this book are amazing. I learned right along with my children. The illustrations are beautiful. The fold outs were great. They held up well. This is probably one of the most valuable animal/habitat books I have seen for kids. This book actually led to lots of exploring for us! We love this book! We got it when my oldest was 4. She spent hours looking at the pictures then and still spends hours now. It has helped her develop her love of animals into a fascination with animal habitats.
