I ordered this book for my 6 year old niece, hoping it would be a slightly easier "Where's Waldo" -- develop problem-solving skills, contain funny scenes, etc. Instead of scenes, it's just pictures, and they're the same as you'd expect to see in a preschool book. The pictures/concept somewhat advanced, as a child has to recognize that a beach ball, football, and soccer ball are all balls and that a truck from different angles is still a truck. I was disappointed that this book was listed for kids 4-8, because I think 3-5 is probably more accurate. Finding everything is still a bit challenging, but I don't think it evokes the "I'm a grown up now" feeling that school-aged kids seek. I'm hoping my niece enjoys it nonetheless, especially because it's a good book for her to "do" with her 2 year old sister.

This book is great, don't get me wrong. But there's a page called "Food" that has pictures of: pizzas, frosted doughnuts, lollipops, hamburgers, french fries, cupcakes, frosted animal crackers, and popsicles. I'm sorry, but I don't really want to teach my child that this garbage is what we define as "Food"!! Perhaps this page should be labeled as "Treats". Just my opinion. Of course, it's not REALLY that big of a deal, but just be forewarned. There is a page each for fruits and vegetables, so it's not like this book is promoting unhealthy eating or anything. Other than that page, it is very visually appealing. Tons of things to look at. My daughter, 11 months, likes looking at and pointing to the pictures. We'll just skip the Food page for now!Oh, and the pages are: Fruit, Farm, Food, Animals, Vegetables, Construction, Forest, Emergency, Toys, Machines.

I am shocked to see that this is rated for 4-8 year olds! My son received it for his 1st birthday. He loved it and for an entire year he pulled this book EVERYDAY!! There are particular pages he is fond of (toy, fruit and construction pages are his favorites.) I also have a 4 year old and a 5 year old and they also enjoy the book, I can ask them to find certain things but after a while it is not as challenging for them. I have to say that this book is suited more for a 1-3 year old.

This is an okay book. I love that they use real objects and have them in different sizes all over the pages. The one thing I didn't like was how many of the objects are cut out towards the edges. I wish they had just kept the objects whole because my little one is often confused when attempting to count or locate cause he doesn't know whether the cut ones are counted or not. The overall look of it isn't all that impressive either.

The 2 grand boys that I gave this book to were delighted and instantly flipped pages searching and pointing, then settled back for a long car ride Ages 3 and 15 mos and avid book readers I could not have been more pleased with their reaction.

This seemed a good premise for a learning book, but the pages are far too cluttered and the figure of the little boy so obscure on many pages as to make the finding of him impossible for a young child. Not worth the trouble of returning, but I will donate it to the library rather than giving it as a Christmas gift to my great-granddaughter.

My almost two year old LOVES this book. Lots of pictures on each page. He likes to point to the item and I'll name it. My review is similar to the others, the "food" page is a joke. I almost considered grabbing a sharpie and writing in Junk above the Food label just in case family members are reading it to my son... cupcakes, hamburgers, candy, pizza... not exactly what I'd consider real food.

I bought this for my 2 year old great-grandson. His mother says he loves it. He enjoys trying to find pictures when asked and this is a fun book - so colorful and interesting. The drawings are very well done.
