You delivered the book so fast. My granddaughter was coming and I decided to give it a try. The story was wonderful and the instructions were easy for her. She is 7. I had fun teaching her to knit a scarf. Part way through, she was getting bored, so we stopped and turned it into an eyeglass case, for her sunglasses. She started a scarf the next day. Even my daughter wanted to learn, so we tried to teach her. My granddaughter was hard on her and very competitive. I I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have fun reading and knitting with a child or grandchild.
A great how-to book for kids...but I took away some lessons for myself! Easy guidelines with a cute story to compliment it that makes the book more kid-friendly. Highly recommend this book.
The book didn't seem to catch the attention of the children I was trying to teach to knit. The illustrations didn't seem to get across to them what we were trying to do with the yarn. We will try it again and see if it was just a timing issue.
Could you please tell me if the lessons are for the English style or Continental syleknitting? I promised my granddaughter that I would teach her how to knit when sheturns six. I just cannnot do the English style due to being left handed.I don't want to get stuck with something I can't use.............Thanks.
