With so many biographies written to be used for reports, it's very refreshing to find one that provides a fun and entertaining look at its subject. This book is very readable and the photographs included provide a glimpse of some of the adventures Jeff has been on (my favorite is the picture of him 'sleeping' next to a rhino.) Highly recommended, especially for students who think biographies have to be boring and about dead people.
My son loves Jeff Corwin's TV shows, so I thought this might be interesting for him to read. He read it quickly and says he enjoyed it - though he says he likes all the books he reads! I am interested in how Jeff Corwin became so interested in animals and so influential so plan to read it as well. It definitely seems appropriate for the 8-12 year old reader and would be a good pick if a child needed to read a biography for school.
great book from a great conservationalist and plain all over great guy for all ages. Very interesting and informative.
Both kids read this book and loved it. We are all Jeff Corwin fans. It was good for the kiddos to learn about the unusual path he took to get the career he now has.
