I bought this book and it's companion (Extreme Dot to Dot Animals) for my daughter this year for Christmas. It's now February, and she's asking me to buy her a new copy of the same books. I was surprised to hear her ask for the same book instead of a new one -- I knew she was taking them to afterschool every day to work on, but it turns out they've been so popular with all the other kids that she's shared out the pages with her friends, and wants a new copy so she can do the pages she didn't get the first time around.
My son (8) is a huge puzzle/game fanatic. He saw this in a catelogue and requested it for Xmas. He LOVES it. It is very challenging for him, but he is doing it on his own. It is great for critical thinking and logic skills. I highly recommend this product
My seven-year-old nephew loves these books. If you are not familiar, they are intricate pictures made by connecting hundreds if not thousands of dots. They are a good challenge, even for an adult. My nephew opened this on Christmas morning and started working on one, right in the middle of all the presents. I'd say that's an endorsement!Also, I was a little worried about having this shipped. It arrived looking pristine. Nice job all around.
I bought this as a Christmas present for my 10 year old. He absolutely loves it. He'll squeeze in a few minutes whenever he can (before bed, waiting to go to school). He'll also work on it in my office while I'm at the computer so he can chat with me (something he can't do while reading). For now at least, he'd rather work on this than play with LEGOs or read, which had been his favorite activities. He is learning about explorers in school, so he really likes trying to guess what the picture is as he works on it. And he's been able to figure out many of the individual people. I'll definitely order a couple more of these for him.
I just love Dot to Dot puzzles. These Extreme Dot to Dot are absolutely wonderful!! They are somewhat easy to do and at the same time somewhat hard. They challenge the brain to work. I don't have a favorite, I just love them all. I already have 5 of them. I do them in pencil, and erase them when I'm done. That way I can do them over and over. Wonderful!
This was a gift for my son-in-law, for his birthday and he loved it. What's not to love? Dot-to-dots for the not so kiddie crowd. Even my 24 year old son asked me to get him a book too. I always look for something that is fun for my son-in-law that his own parents wouldn't get him, and he's always excited about opening the packages.
My kids (ages 5, 7, and 9) can sit for an hour+ at church and connect the dots. They love the pictures, and enjoy the challenge--it's not always easy to find the next dot! We also bought USA and World dot-to-dots, and the kids seem to like all of them equally well.
We bought this puzzle book for our 13 year old and he loves it! It is absolutely amazing to see a page full of numbers and watch it take form. There are so many dots that you generally have no clue what the picture could be until you are well into it! So much fun, even adults get sucked into wanting to try one! We also bought different versions for our 7 and 11 year olds.
