My First Sewing Machine Book: 35 Fun And Easy Projects For Children Aged 7 Years +
Read Free Books and Download eBooks

With 35 projects that you’ll love to make and a helpful techniques section, this book will teach you all about sewing machines. Start out with Clothes and Accessories, where you can make a felt collar and cozy scarf, as well as a pretty skirt. Then try one of the Bags and Cases, such as a cute bobble-trim coin purse, an MP3 player case, and even a sleepover bag. Transform your room with Things for Your Room—the wall tidy looks great and gives you somewhere to store all your bits and pieces, and you can brighten up your bedding with a patchwork quilt. Finally, why not have a go at the Toys and Games? Make a rag doll, and then clothes for it, too, to get a feel for dressmaking, or create a fabric games board for playing checkers and chess. Every project has step-by-step artworks to guide you, plus a skill level so you can start with easy items and move on to more challenging things as you get better at using your machine.

I ordered this for my 6 1\2 yr. Old granddaughter. I live in PA and she lives in Fla. I was down visiting and I was showing her how to sew. She got mom's machine out and was practicing. My daughter does not sew. Well my granddaughter was so excited with her sewing book that she took it to school to show her teacher. I hope this sparks more of an interest for her!

This is a great book to teach young girls to sew (not really all that much in it that most boys would be interested in). First of all there are projects that my daughter actually wanted to make. And the directions are very clear and simple to follow. We just got it and have only tried a few projects, but we are excited to make more. My 8 year old was excited that she was able to make the projects on her own with only minimal help from me. Great book!

We purchased this as a Christmas gift for our 10 year old daughter, to accompany a sewing machine. The directions are easy to follow, the patterns in the back of the book are extremely helpful. The projects in the book are progressive, so even the newest sewers can learn to craftusing this book. Very pleased.

my grand girls loved the book and easy to learn

Very nice, a lot of good tips. Very good for the first time seamstress.

More for a teen or younger, was a little disappointed

Nice book.

I bought for someone, I have no information.
