Very impressed with this easy to read collection of paper plate activities. The easily understood activities all have clear photographs of the finished product.
I purchased this crafty book to use when my granddaughters, ages 11 and 4, come over. They like to make things and have good imaginations. They love this book. They will both pick out something they want to make. Unfortunately, they both never choose the same thing. The book is so well written that it is easy, even for my 11 year old, to follow the directions. The book contains patterns for many different types of projects: animals, centerpieces, games, decorations, toys and more. The ideas are clever and fun to make. The items are all inexpensive to make using materials such as paper plates, egg cartons, chenille sticks, straws, poster board with crayons, paints, glue and tape to help decorate. If you don't happen to have the material on hand that is called for, it is easy to substitute something else. This is a fun book full of activities that will keep your children busy and creative for hours.
Paper plates are one of my favorite craft materials and this book certainly is chock full of ideas. After you start making some of the crafts included in this book, you'll begin looking at paper plates in a whole new way. And the kids will soon be coming up with their own ideas.Actually, I've come to count on the whole series of "Look What You Can Make From...." I've got three of these books on my crafting bookshelf right now! (Paper Tubes and Paper Bags) They all represent fun things to do with stuff that you have laying around the house.Definitely a must for teachers, parents, daycare provides and Kids (of course)!
I got this book and wanted to use it for the little ones. I got started collecting the items and before I knew it, I had my whole family at the table creating these great paper plate masterpieces. It is a wonderful book that can be used over and over again. Fun for the whole family!
This is a great craft book to have around the house and the best part about it is that you don't need much more than the paper plates to do most of these. The pictures of the projects really got my 3 year old motivated to do the activities as we flipped through it. He really enjoyed doing the UFO which was painted all blue with glued on aluminum foil for the windows and doors. We put a little man from his Lincoln Log set into the top of the saucer so he could fly into space! Simple, fun, and well worth the price!
My daughter and three year old love making these projects, and then do role play with the results. Uses things you would have around house and directions make it easy to follow.
