I got this for my daughter who'd asked for a coloring book for Christmas, among other things. She'd just gone to see the Nutcracker with her Grandpa, and loved it so I thought this would be really appropriate. It's turned out to be a beautiful coloring book, and she has loved reliving the experience of the live ballet through it's pictures. Well worth the purchase price.
Dover's Nutcracker coloring book both tells the story and provides pages for coloring along the way. The illustrations are wonderful to work with. While the pages are double-sided the paper quality is good, although it won't hold up to markers or paint. Dover always produces great work for a good value. Highly recommended for the upcoming holiday season.
This coloring book does not minimize "Nutcracker" with cheap illustrations. They are lovely. Good for young dancers excited about the ballet.
This is a great coloring book of the ballet NUTCRACKER. Very correct ballet pictures that anyone would enjoy coloring. Great teaching tool to tell the story of the ballet
I received this book today and it lives up to the Dover name. I love all Dover books. This one tells the story also. A Plus to me. So pretty I want to keep it uncolored for a while though I can't wait to color in it.
My girls and their friends loved this coloring book. Dover always makes excellent quality books. This one was perfect for keeping my daughter and her friends busy in between their performances as mice in our local Nutcracker this past season.:)
We bought these coloring books nearly a year ago (well, Santa put them in the stockings after a Christmas Eve Nutcracker performance), and there they sat in our art cabinet. Suddenly, a month ago, my 4 and 5 year olds decided they are the best thing in the world. They spend nice long stretches every day coloring in the little sections. Who knew?!?! Great book for those who are going to see the Nutcracker, or are familiar with the story. Great coloring pages for kids who have mastered coloring in the lines and are ready for a bit of a challenge.
