It is very refreshing to see and read this little book adapted from Bob Marley's joyous song. The illustrations are delightful and so animated and colorful that the book comes to life for the toddler generation. This book compliments the song beautifully. This is a good way to bring the music of Bob Marley's to a new generation. The young toddler set can't help but sing the verse over and over. Don't worry about a thing cause every little thing is gonna be alright. This is a message for you cause everything gonna be alright. Positive vibrations for your family.Good stuff for young and old families. Get this book and make you child smile and sing.
I love this book! I did not intend to purchase it, but the ad made it sound interesting. I am so glad I did. The verses match the melody of the song and are child friendly and appropriate. One example shows a lonely boy watching other children play. The main character invites the boy to play which of course cheers him up. My husband and I sing it to our 22 month old each evening, taking the time to point to the pictures as we sing the verses in the book. She loves this book and will carry it everywhere; in the morning she'll sing the chorus to her stuffed animals and 'read' it to them. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful; even if you weren't familiar with the song, the pictures alone would engage you.While the main characters are black, the book is highly inclusive. I thoroughly recommend this book.
LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!! (and One Love!) We bought both books as a gift for our friends one year old son and he loves them! What great messages, easy read, and marvelous artwork!!! Cedella Marley nailed it on the head with these books!!!! Cant wait to have children of our own to purchase these for!!!!! They will surely be found on our book shelves! =)
it's ok - I thought it would be more than just the song. I am doing a 'love that surrounds us' theme and decided to use bob marley to tie in. really better for pre-schoolers. like that his daughter is the author though. there are others too - I bought ONE LOVE - it is the same - the song pretty much.
I think Bob Marley tunes are spot on for kiddos and not grating to adults after three minutes. This book is based on Bob's song, with great illustrations featuring children of color (yay!) and enough detail in the pictures to discuss and observe with your children. We like to find and count the birds on each page.
I'm an elementary music teacher and I do a Bob Marley unit. This was the perfect addition. Marley's daughter, Cedella, did a great job adapting this into a story. My kiddos really love to hear the song, read the book, and sing the pages with "Every Little Thing Is Gonna Be Alright!" It's a student favorite. It also has a great "don't sweat the small stuff" message. Must buy!
Love the pictures SOOOOO much, those are 10 star pictures. I wanted to love the book but I feel like the words just don't work. My baby likes thigs that flow well and I just can't get a good rhythm down with this book. But The pictures are great and so I make up my own story. Maybe when the baby is older he won't need that flow as much and he'll like it better
Love this book! My son loved this song before he was born and now I sing the words as I read it and he loved it.Not all of the text is the same as the lyrics, but a very cute twist on the original.
