Wonderful poetry, excellent pictures, and fabulous message. This is a must-read for all little kids and their parents.
This is the book I keep on hand for a new baby gift. It gives the parents and child a cute message on how important it is to read to children at an early age. I was introduced to the book at a children's literature conference. I have gotten many thank yous years and years after the newborn was in school! Even though I am a retired kindergarten teacher - I am still contributing to early childhood eduaction! :-)
I really liked the pictures and the rhymes. This book will help teachers guide their readers into discussion about great, and also, not so great, spots for reading. You could also use this book to connect to other books, like Goldilocks!
This was a very short, but adorable little book. It gives the idea that reading alone could never be as special to a small child as sharing the time with a loving parent. It also promotes Independence.
The font was not adjustable, which made the book very difficult to read for my daughter. To not damage our children's eyes, I feel this option should be added to the viewer. Overall the book was cute.
I used this book in one of my Reader's Workshop lessons to talk about different places to read. My students reallly enjoyed this book and it sparked lots of discussions on where they like to enjoy books.
We liked that it was a boy and that the best place was with mom. The wording was very rythmic and fun to read to kids.
