This illustrated songbook and accompanying audio CD are an excellent resource for parents, grandparents, Sunday school teachers, and anyone who loves children and music. Children learn in many ways, and one of the most enjoyable and memorable is through song. Accomplished musician Ellen Banks Elwell and best-selling illustrator Caron Turk have teamed up to create a songbook and CD that will have toddlers singing, clapping, and learning important truths about God. The Toddler's Songbook features more than fifteen children's songs, each introduced by a related story or prayer and two illustrations. The accompanying CD includes each song, recorded in three ways: with a children's choir, with an instrument, and with an adult soloist, all accompanied by piano. I purchased this book for my 2 yr. old granddaughter. She loves to hear the songs sung to her and can now sing along. Each song has a colorful page, a rhyme, and the words to the song. We did not know all the songs but many were familiar, so we have not yet listened to the CD. I highly recommend this very child friendly book.

I believe books and music like this -- without hype and overstimulation -- are the best hope we have for combating children who are glued to screens. Parents, grandparents. Read this book out loud, play this CD, and sing along. Those young children you love so much will be drawn in, their hearts will be touched, and their lives will unfold with a wee bit more joy and wisdom.

Recommended! Great songs. It's definitely what I was looking for as we just had our first child and want to bring them up in the name of the Lord.
