My grandson and I have read these books from the very first publication, we read them together. We have been to every movie and eagerly await the newest book being released.The author has a unique way of identifying the angst of being a pre-teen.This book tells the story of the movie in the same manner as the books. My grandson loved it.
My son does NOT love to read but every time a new Diary of a Wimpy Kid books come out he cant wait to get it and he reads it non-stop till he is finished. I hope they never stop writing these books!
This book is enjoyable for fans of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and/or movies. It was originally published after the first movie was released, and has been updated to include details from the second and third movies. I would definitely recommend it, and I think even kids who aren't into the series but who have an interest in movies or film making would enjoy it!
While it's true I am not the reader of this book (or series...) the mother of the intended reader said as soon as her daughter got the books from her Grandpa (me...) that she went into her room and began reading! To say she's "hooked" would be an understatement. These books are really good and clean and seem to create a thinking process that keeps the kids looking for the next one to read. That is good.

I think computers are Great and DVD are of today but to sit with a child reading a book to you and watching there expression as the pages turn are Priceless

Lots of pictures and photos for the loving fans. This book was bought for my son who requested it for Christmas. Anyone who loves this book series will enjoy this edition. It is not a story of Greg and his family, but the story of "how everything came together" in the same playful and humorous manner as other authors books. If you own the book series, this shouldn't be missing in your collection. Just saying. ;)
My son is a big "Wimpy Kid" fan and also talks about wanting to work in film one day, so this book was a no-brainer. He loves reading about how the movies were made and learning the ins and outs of film making. The book came packaged well and shipped quickly.
