Very disappointed. Just a book of photos. No nail art tutorials. I wish I could find an author that published a book with nail tutorials for pretty designs.
We actually checked this book out first from our local library to see if we wanted to purchase it. I'm so glad we borrowed it first. While there are some very cute designs in here, there are no tutorials. It's basically just the author saying, "Hey! Look what I can do!" That's awesome, but not everyone knows the techniques to use to replicate these looks. Not much we can do with pictures, except take them to our nail salon. I checked it out for my 13-year-old daughter, and without the tutorials, most of these designs are too complicated to copy on her own. Cute for ideas, but don't expect to be able to do these designs on your own.
I wish it had pointers on how to do some of the designs. It's all pictures with no help on how to paint.
Gorgeous book with inspiration for just about every occasion! While it is true that this is not a tutorial book, the book description is very clear about what it is. Anyone with a little bit of nail painting experience could recreate these looks on their own. (She gives you hints to the techniques in the design names. Ex. Water marble, stamped, etc). I purchased this knowing it would just be full of pictures. It helps inspire some of my designs. I love it! This may not be good for beginners though because it isn't a DIY book. However, it is chalk full of designs for pretty much any and every occasion.
A book full of wonderful nail art designs. The photos show up close nail designs for any occasion you can think of. Chelsea creates some creative and unique nail looks that will inspire any nail artist out there. A must have book for nailpiration!
this is really a nice full colored book, the only problem that I have with it is that you are not shown how to achieve the designs. Only colored photos of the completed nail design. I don't recommend this for someone who is just starting to do nail art.
I gave the book 4 stars because it has no instructions on how to do the designs in the book. If you are looking for an instructional guide to nail art, you may not want this book. This book has a lot of great ideas for those looking to spark their own creativity. The designs in this book can be helpful to everyone. I wish the book had included some step-by-step designs and notations about the brand of polishes used.
