Reviews of this product are accurate but definitely buy a level above our child's education. The stated age recommendations are just too easy and do not challenge your child. One level above usually mixes tings that they know vs some harder elements that will help them learn.If you follow that one rule, this is a 5 star product that is fun and is a great educational tool. Its compact size plus genius plastic hinge keeps everything compact and easy to take around.In the age of portable electronic devices, its nice to see a good old fashioned product like this that can keep the kids entertained just as well.
An absolute must for pre-schoolers! While the age listed is 5-6 I would recommend it more for 4-5 year olds. Our daughter requests this at night over books. This has provided hours of enjoyment. I recommend this for car trips (if you are sitting by them), "unplugged" days or just general down time. Great for the doctors office as well!
My daughter LOVES doing these quiz cards. We do a few with her every night & she is learning a ton about telling time, sounding out words, and comparison/contrast. She burned through the preschool set & we waited MONTHS for the Kindergarten set to be in stock, but it was totally worth it. Moving up to the 1st grade ones probably pretty soon - and she's not even 5 yet.
These are perfect to stick in your bag and take everywhere! Any time you are out with your child and need to wait around for things, or if you are making dinner and hanging out in the kitchen, whatever, these are fantastic to pull out and have a quick lesson!The pictures are cute and easy to read, and the fact that they're attached together makes life much less difficult for me!
I am addicted to Brain Quest cards. My daughters, 3 and 5, get such a kick out of them and have learned a great deal. The questions are very age appropriate, but at the same time, challenging enough not to become boring. The deck comes in a connected, fan-like manner which makes it very easy to go through each card. This is a great way to expand your child's knowledge with a simple, quick activity.
Love love these! They are just a fun learning tool to throw in the bag or car. The kindergarten level is perfect for our just graduated pre k level child. Will continue to buy the different levels for sure!
My daughter likes these.. We run through these cards at night before bed. Having them connected is handy for that. But I do prefer the flash card type for our regular learning. Nothing wrong with these by any means, I'd just say I prefer the focused flash cards - by that I mean I can get number ones, alphabet, phonics, etc. This is sort of a mixed bag.. So certainly has it's place. Get both types if you can.
For some reason, the decks themselves say ages 4-5, rather than 5-6. Can't figure out why since the box (which was sealed)says Kindergarten 5-6. Content is way too easy for my 5 y.o. Disappointed...
