I bought this book for my daughter but it is a sheer waste of money. There is really nothing interesting here to touch & feel. The touch & feel items are too small (like really small buttons or small green peas) & not engaging enough for a child to do. She is 18 months old & I've shown her this book for a whle now (since she was 10 months old). Even though she recognizes & says the words of most stuff in the book now (like butterfly, kite, shoes), and I put her fingers over the objects, it is not exciting for kids. Could've bought something else with the money spent on this!
The item, while has bright and big pictures on each page, the touch & feel is about nothing. Very small, if anything to feel on almost all the pages.I consider this a decent purchase at this price point. Would have been higher with more pages/bigger touch area.
The places where the child is supposed to be able to touch & feel is so small I don't think they can even feel anything which it why I bought the book in the first place. OK if you're just getting it for the colors & shapes.
My little one loved these line of books. She quickly learned how to flip the thicker pages,which made her look like she was actually reading... Adorable! Only downfall is that the textures seem to be similar in a lot of the books in this line.. But my baby doesn't seem to mind!
MY LO showed zero interest in this book between 12-23 months. I was so disappointed in my purchase. Then she turned 2, become more interested in colors and shapes, and this book has become a favorite! The Baby Touch and Feel Books are good for texture/sensory feel at a younger age but they are EXCELLENT for vocabulary and learning at a later age because they have very few words per page, which helps your child focus on learning one thing at a time and the bright colors and fun textures help the child's attention. If your infant/young toddler doesn't take to this book, hold onto it because it will be great for language skills.
I was extremely disappointed in this entire series of books. I bought them as a Christmas present for my daughter and was shocked at the lack of meaningful sensory experiences. Some pages don't even have any anything to touch or the raise is so insignificant that it can barely be felt. I do not recommend this book if you're looking for a lot to "touch" or "feel."
My 4 month old son is so enthralled with this book and has been since he was about 5 weeks old. He really stares at and studies each of the images. The touch and feel is limited but the images are clear and eye catching for baby. We've read this and gone through these pages many, many times already - so many times that it has helped baby to understand books as he has been grabbing and helping to turn the pages.
New condition, came in fast, and my 20 month old daughter loves books and she gets involved in them when she can feel different things on different pages! Not every page has something different to feel but she still loves it!
