There are far too few books for kids about tools. This one is great - well-drawn pictures of each tool and detailed descriptions so that a tool novice like me can answer all the questions my kids might have. This would be a fantastic gift for any kid who's house is undergoing a remodel or large repair.
My grandson, who is 2 1/2, loves tools! He's learned the name of every tool in it. His dad particularly likes it, because the pictures are of real tools, so there's no confusion. It was used and a little worn but no more than expected.
Lowes doesn't have one. :) !!! Home Depot rocks. I could have used one of these when I was a kid. (still could probably) has lots and lots of pictures of tools, descriptions and names. Probably best for 6 yo or older.
My nephew is 8 and I've been teaching him about tools and what they are used for. This book is a great overview to help a young man learn the names of tools and what they are used for. Covers basic tools for working with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, yard work, gardening and more.
I was very excited about this book for my son. The description said "new" but part of the inside cover was ripped and missing. I am giving it to him for his birthday and am disappointed that it looks used...
Found this book at our local library and my son was obsessed. I was excited to find it here so he could have it for good! GREAT book for a little kid obsessed with tools. (I now know several different types of wrenches, pliers, and saws). It's a fun book!
I received the book much quicker then estimated date. I was very pleased with the price and the book looked almost like new.MY 3 yr old grandson enjoys this book very much,because he has a toy tool box with many of these tools.This is the 2nd book I bought from Yankee Clipper and I can say the same satisfaction for both.
