I love this book, it is just the right size to carry in my pocket book along with 5 crayons to entertain my preschool grandchildren,1. At 4 and 1/4 inches wide and 5 and 3/4 inches long it is perfect for Grandma's or Mom's purse2. With 59 farm animal illustrations to color,3. It is not just a coloring book, it is also an educational reading book , the bottom of each page has information about the animal in the picture.4. The binding is reinforced, not just glued, so you can bend the book backwards to flatten the book so the pages lie flat and the book does not tearExample of reading: (Cows eat grass and from the grass make Milk.)(Baby sheep are called lambs)(A foal can stand up and walk just half an hour after it's born) I purchased this in July of 2013, and I cannot even begin to tell you the number of hours I have entertained grandchildren with this in restraunts, at ball games, in the car, waiting at the doctors office, in hospital rooms,at the air port, at concerts, etc, etc.For this low price, every Mom and Grandparent should carry it in their purse.
We have a few of these coloring books, and they are the perfect size for travel (they are small). They won't crowd your diaper bag and also have stories under the pictures.
Borrowed from another's review about a similar product..."Pay close attention to the dimensions of the book; this book is tiny. I enlarged it on the copier by quite a bit to create a usable-size (i.e., 8-1/2"x11") worksheet for my young students. Pre-schoolers may have a hard time coloring the small pages, so I recommend that you enlarge them, too. Otherwise, I agree with the other reviewer that it would make a nice party favor if it's not going to be used for other purposes, like in a classroom to supplement an alphabet lesson"
I should have read the dimensions of this book before I purchased it as it is TINY. Would not have bought it had I realized how small it was. I think it would be a good stocking stuffer due to the size but it is a very small coloring book.
Bought for my granddaughter. I should have read further as it is the size of my hand and I thought it was a full size. It will be nice to take to restaurants, etc. with a couple of crayons. The animal pictures are very nice and large.
I bought this for a 4 year old boy. Apparently I neglected to look at the size because it is a small version coloring book. Nice but small...would be good for taking on a trip or putting in your bag so they have something to do if needed.
Farm Animals Coloring Book (Dover Little Activity Books)The adult coloring book was purchased as a gift for my Mother-in-law, who is in a nursing home. She loved the book but I must note it's more simplistic and could also be used for a child as well. Great price and nice product.
I think this would be a good coloring book for an older toddler but for my almost 2-year old daughter this book is way too small so she is not interested in coloring in this.
