This guide book is very informative about starting Minecraft! It goes as far as telling you how to survive your first night and how to face the mobs and animals. It goes in depth on how and how not to kill a mob and even shows exactly how many health points they have. The book also shows you how to farm and gives you tips on building shelter and on how to craft certain items and how many uses that item serves and even some little known facts. It a book that's great for beginners and also great for players with experience with the game to get more knowledge on defeating mobs and those little known tips.

We bought this instructional book for our third grader who is a budding Minecraft enthusiast. When the set sold out at her school book fair before she could buy a copy, we turned to . These books are excellent tutorials for kids using Minecraft at school and home. Our nine-year-old is able to follow along and implement the tutorials with a minimal amount of help. The bindings are library quality and the pictures make it easy to understand what the author is referencing. The durability is much appreciated as the book frequently travels to school and back, and is used by classmates as well.
Great book if you haven't started the game yet. I bought it for my kids who were just starting to read and had only just begun to play. They love it and are catching up to my level of difficulty quickly
I was expecting a cheap black and white paperback. This book is really nice! It's a good quality hardcover book. Every page is full color with lots of pictures, charts and graphs. The paper is thick and glossy. It's more like a reference than something you'd read cover to cover, though. It seems like something you'd keep forever to look back on.My second grader like to read it by his computer and then try what he's learned from the book in the actual game. It's not written for children, though. There are some difficult words for his age. But any Minecraft enthusiast will enjoy looking through this and even it's above your child's reading level, he or she will still get something out of it ... and learn some new vocabulary to boot. Great purchase!
Well written great quality book. This is great for me and my 6 year old. He wanted to play Minecraft but I had no idea what to do. This book has helped us so much and he can read it too. The pages are beautiful. This is a good quality book.
My nephew kept checking out the library books of minecraft so I bought him three for his birthday. He loved them- he can find hidden passages etc he says.
My kid is obsessed with Minecraft. He bought this book with his own money. It came in handy when he tried to switch from the Minecraft PE version on his tablet to the computer version. We had no idea how to use the keyboard controls to do anything. He ran out of the room and came back with this book, which told us everything we needed to know.
