The children's book ALWAYS is basically a statement of love between a parent and child. In the book, a mother elephant explains to her young child that no matter how he feels or behaves, she will always love him. "Sometimes you're good. Sometimes you're bad. Sometimes you're scared. Sometimes you're brave. Sometimes you misbehave!" The illustrations are fun and playful and young children will enjoy looking at the pictures as they are being read to, particularly the silver leafing that is found wherever there is water. Overall, ALWAYS is a great book for parents/guardians to read to their children at night to reinforce how much they love them.
This is one of the sweetest little books I have ever seen and I can't wait to give it to my little 3 year old granddaughter. I am sure it won't be long before she's reading it to her baby brother. The story is sweet and the illustrations are beautiful. I am a great fan of Elephants myself so I buy them anything I see that is an elephant. Beautiful illustrations in a very sweet story.
This is a very sweet and simple book which is perfect for a child just beginning to be able to sit and be read to and repeat the lines on the page until "voila" the have memorized the story and think they are reading! So much fun to see them wake up to reading!
This book is super adorable! I picked it out as a baby shower guest book and am so glad I did! The guests will be able to sign the book and leave a message, then we can re-read the supportive/loving messages from family, which will fit perfectly with the theme of the book - always loving the child. The pages are not glossy, but some have metallic accents. Regular pen or sharpie should write fine on the non-metallic areas, and there are plenty of blank spaces for people to sign!
this is a beautiful book, with metallic paints etc inside... it would make a beautiful gift. More expensive than the board books we buy our son once a month, but almost a collector's item. Plus the story is so sweet. It is one of our favorites with goodnight moon and the book of sleep.
This book is lovely. The silver detailing in the art is beautiful, and the message is simple: No matter what happens, whatever mood you're in, whatever you do, I'll always love you. I gave this as a gift to a friend whose nursery is elephant themed.
I love the simplicity of this book and the outstanding illustrations and use of color! This would be an ideal "transition" book moving from board books to regular bindings and thinner pages for toddlers. Parents, teachers and librarians...you'll want to order this book! I'm sending it off to my granddaughter in the next box to Brynn - I know she'll love it and she's ready for a book like this!
The pictures are beautiful. The story is honest ans touching. My two boys love it when I read this to them. They also love the metallic ink parts!
