I bought this for my toddler. The story and the illustrations in this book are really well done. The lap size version is a little to big for little hands but is perfect for parent and me reading time.The story of the little nut brown hare makes every parents heart melt.
A wonderfully fun book with a great message about a parent's love for a child. Great illustrations with a great message in a large, durable book that my child cannot damage. A wonderful choice for any parent.
This has always been a family favorite and I can't wait to share it with my grand daughter! I bought the little rabbit to go with it and a necklace with the darling sentiment from the book. My daughter and grand daughter will love this gift!

This book is a classic and the lap-sized board book makes it all the more special as a keep sake or birthday gift. The only thing to keep in mind is that because it is still a board book, it's pretty heavy for a wee little one. But I love it, because it will last even longer.
Loved the big size! We are a trilingual family, and I was able to fit handwritten translations of the words in German and Russian alongside the English!
