Even though the book has very cute pictures and my two-year-old daughter loves it, I couldn't give it more stars because the Spanish translation is just horrible. One page didn't even make any sense. I wonder who edits these books... and how hard it could be to properly translate a children's book with one or two simple sentences on each page... I know I may sound picky here but the point of buying a bilingual book is to have a correct version of the story in both languages, so whoever reads it can understand either of them. Of course I can translate to Spanish (it's my first language), but the idea is that I shouldn't have to.Other than being very disappointed with the translation I was satisfied with the book (and that's why I still gave it three stars). The pictures are really cute and there's enough text to tell the story while at the same time it is not too long to keep a small child entertained.
my college age daughter is learning Spanish (to be an elementary teacher with a concentration in ESL - English as a Second Language) so she loves getting these Spanish/English children's books, to practice reading Spanish, and it will be a great book for her class library when she begins teaching, or she can give it to our sponsor child on her next mission trip to the Dominican Republic.
I bought this book for my three-year-old daughter who loves bedtime stories. I like to read to her Spanish books so she can learn a second language. She is able to understand the story and answer all my questions. The book has big colorful images and is very easy to read. I highly recommend this book.
Even though the story is a bit short this book is still a good spanish translation book. The illustrations are fantastic and I love how these keepsake series have both the english and spanish! My son owns like 5 of these books and I love reading it to him twice, once in spanish and once in english!
I read this book at least 3 times a day since my daughter loves it. Like all of the series, I love that is a bilingual book, so both my husband and I can read it in our native languages. Illustrations are really cute and appealing.
These beautiful little bilingual board books for infants and toddlers absolutely are delighting our 8 month old granddaughter who is also bilingual. Her daddy reads them to her in his 1st language and her mommy reads them in hers. Everyone is thrilled with this solution!
Good series of books that I bought to read in Spanish with my daughter ⦠only there is a big typo on the first word on the first page ;) but otherwise easy to read and kids enjoy listening to it :)
I was looking for some of the old fairy tales with values I grew up with. This did a great job of fulfilling my desire and being of interest to my grandson (5 yr. old).
