I've bought three of these books over the years. The first for my son who is now 27 and now I've begun buying them for my grandchildren. Easy and incredibly interesting for any aged reader. Chock full of information - big events as well as fascinating little titbits. Highly, highly recommended for any Canadian no matter how long their family line is here in Canada,
It is hard to imagine how a better book on the history of Canada could be written for junior high school students. Not only is it written clearly and accurately, but the illustrations and sidebars complement the text very well. The photographs, maps, and colored paintings are beautifully done and exquisitely placed on the pages to bring the text to life. This book belongs on the book shelf of every American family.
