Either way, the take-away value is present.If I have any complaint, it is that parents without a background in Spanish may have difficulty with proper pronunciation, but I still believe that poorly pronouncing "comida" (food) is better that not knowing the word at all!Armchair Interviews says: Fun way to start your children toward being bi-lingual.
I bought this book for my 2 year old because we want to teach her Spanish. I was able to see it before I bought it since my sister-on-law had purchased one for my nephew. I loved how big and colorful the book was so bought one too. My 2 year old loves it as well!
This book is great! Big, thick, sturdy pages! It helps to know the pronunciation of Spanish so you can say it to your kids, but even if you don't, at least it gives them a general idea of how to say the words. I'm sure that's better than nothing. The pages are colorful, and I'm very excited to give this book to my niece for X-mas this year! Heck, this book would be great for ME to learn more Spanish as I know very little. More incentive for me to visit my niece and read her this book while I'm there, however! :) The book ranges from about 5-9 words per page, with 14 pages in the entire book.
This is pretty much a basic picture with its word book. I give it 5 stars because my kids always ask me to "read" it to them. If it is good enough to interest them in learning Spanish words, then it is a great book to me!
very nice book, high quality, colorful. only complaint is that it contains some strange words for learning your first words in spanish. overall I'm glad I bought this book, my toddler loves it.
My little girl is 11 months old and we just started working with Spanish. She loves the book and keeps on coming back to it on her own. It contains all the basic words one would expect in a beginning dictionary like clothing, food, toys and more. We like the colors, pictures, the font used and the content. It is also durable, since it is made from a sturdy and glossy paper stock.
My 2-year old enjoys reading this book. We have a similar one in English, and he likes to compare the same words in English and Spanish.
Purchased this book for my 3 year old who is learning spanish. Excellent book, with great pictures.
