Even since a friend gave me my first one as a Christmas gift over ten years ago, I've been enamored with and regularly purchased this calendar. It used to be branded with the Smith and Hawken name (a name you could trust). I was afraid it would be discontinued when S&H went away, but to my delight the calendar remained. Every year it hangs prominently in my kitchen and I never fail to be delighted at the lushness and beauty of each page. Not only are the photos gorgeous, but the production itself is top-notch. If you're a gardener like me, I believe you will fall in love with this calendar, too.
I live in Iowa and have yet to make peace with the winters here. This calendar gives me 12 months of photos of beautiful, lush gardens instead of 'seasonal' photos with wintry scenes in the Nov-March months. This calendar gives me a nice break from the grey winter all around me during those months, and helps me remember there are warmer, lighter and more colorful months ahead.The photos and gardens themselves are superb. Not a dud in the lot, ever.
If you are searching for a truly beautiful calendar to give as a gift to yourself or others, this is the one!Not only are the garden pictures tranquil and delightful and the calendar pleasing to the eye year-around, the size and utility of this calendar are well thought-out and perfect for my needs. Open, it measures 2' tall X 1' wide so will fit in a relatively small space. The photos measure approximately 11 3/8" X 11 3/8" and would be suitable for framing... they could be displayed either together on a photo wall, or separately as a vibrant but soothing, touch of elegance.There is ample space to record appointments and events in an easy-to-read size (each date provides 1 3/8 X 1 7/8 of space).I first discovered these calendars while searching .com last year for the perfect one... as a native of Oregon, I very much appreciate the greenery year around and just seeing the pictures in the winter give my soul joy and hope.The Secret Garden calendars have inspired many compliments from visitors who all said it is beautiful. I looked for this calendar specifically this year, and so far have given two as gifts that were greatly appreciated.The price is extremely reasonable, so if you are looking for a beautiful calendar that you will not tire of, this is the one. At age 60, these are the most beautiful I have ever seen.

I just received this calendar and transferred my important dates to it. It's reasonably good paper, and the pictures are beautiful! The quality is slightly less than the linen-look paper of my previous calendar but should be great for this year. I love looking at the peaceful, lovely gardens! There's plenty of space on which to write my important dates.
I purchase this calendar every year for my office cubicle wall - I believe for at least the last 6 years, maybe more. It gives me a restful sanctuary to go to when I need a little break from the hectic routine at work. It is beautiful. I strongly recommend it to anyone who, from time to time, would like to imagine being in a beautiful green and secluded garden--so peaceful. I would so love it if my real little backyard looked like any of these beautiful photos. I highly recommend this one.
This is my favorite Garden calendar; I usually buy 2 or 3; 2 for myself, and one as a gift. If you like Secret Gardens you will love this calendar. I have been buying this annually for years. Great inspiration too for painting or photography.
The paper in this calendar is a bit flimsy. When I flipped from January to February the little hole broke. I'm not too fond of the colored calendar pages, I think white would set off the photos better.
