The featured quilts are art quality. I don't want a calendar filled with quilts that I could make; I want to look at quilts that inspire me. There is a very nice description in the front of the calendar about each quilt, the artist, size, media, and a paragraph about the quilt. All beautiful quilts that I will enjoy looking at for a month!
I missed going to Houston to see the quilt show so this is how I get to study what I didn't get to see in person. I find spending a month with each of these photos of gorgeous work inspires me. I notice different things every day, be it color or technique or style, and I know it becomes a part of my knowledge and skills.
This calendar has large squares which will help you keep track of activities/meeetings/appointments. Unfortunately, there are no quilt patterns.Each quilt is shown on the top page in color and the bottom has the calendar. A month before and month after smaller calendar is included. Also included are special days such as Independence Day.There is a two-page spread that has a paragraph about each quilt. If you are only looking for a "working" calendar and pretty pictures with information about each, then this calendar will work for you.
This calendar is perfect! The photos are beautiful and the calendar has large boxes adequate for noting appts & mtgs. I will buy again next year if available. It shipped quickly.
