I am pretty picky about wall calendars since our family of 6 depends on it to keep our lives working together smoothly. I liked the aesthetic of this calendar, especially the food theme, since we keep it in the kitchen. I always try to find a small artist or favorite non-profit (like NPR) to purchase from.What I like about this calendar is that you still get the art without having a huge space sucking calendar on the wall. Most calendars just have the art on the top, but this is sprinkled all on the actual calendar. This saves some fridge space, which is nice.This calendar isn't my favorite for a few reasons. The boxes are just a tad too small. I can already tell some of our busy days, or days with a pre-written holiday on them will get a little messy. Also, the background could use to be a bit lighter. Some of the days are fully covered by the background photo and it's hard to see the writing on top of those days (as seen in photo). I also wish that the top portion of the calendar was a different watercolor page every month instead of always pink. It would be nice to use that portion as sort of a "frame" and put random drawings from my kids on it ... but the pink will get old quick.All in all an okay calendar. It will get us through the year.
This calendar is beautiful and excellent quality! It is fully saturated with deep colors and tones and the paper is a very thick stock.. I love this calendar and will buy again next year. You'll note in the photo that there is a strong red wire that increases the strength of the hanger. "Well done" who ever made this!
Huge disappointment. No art on the top half of the calendar. Just monochromatic watercolor swirls which are the same on each page--no photos--no drawings--no text-- nothing at all. Will not brighten up my work space as hoped. The only information this calendar contains is which veg are in season each month and the days in the months. I like her blog and the cookbook, but this in no way reflects them. This is going back pronto!
The idea of this is so cute! I love the little details of the calendar and the message it's sending. However I believe most people are used to having a longer calendar with a picture on top and the calendar part on the bottom. This eliminates the top picture and replaces it with boring water color !! I would have loved recipes that are in season or even motivational quotes. The water color doesn't even change throughout the calendar...so it's not very fun. They put so much effort into it and to have the top bland is boring.It looks very awkward on my wall because it's meant for the length of a regular calendar. Perhaps they'll change it up for 2016
Slightly smaller than the "write on" calendars that we had used for several years, but what a pleasure to use and view. We will seek out a similar type calendar for 2017.
