My twin 4-year-old boys love the Transformer Rescue Bots. They were very excited when this set showed up in the mail. Twelve books in all, now the boys don't to have to fight over just 'one' book. As for the books, they are smaller versions of the other 'Meet the Rescue Bot' books previously available. I like that they help young readers. Overall, I am pleased with these and hope more sets like this come out in the future. Since I didn't see any pictures of the included books, I have included some. Hope this review helps!
I agree with the other review. I bought this for my 4 year old son because he's obsessed with the Rescue Bots. At first, I was a little concerned that it had duplicates of what I already bought. For example, I have the reading level 1 books for "Meet Chase" and similar titles. However, they're not exactly the same. They tell the same basic story, but the ones in this Phonics Box are great for little kids starting to read. We've started with the "sight words" book. There are also books for each of the vowel sounds (long a, short a, long e, short e, etc.). My son loves them, and he can read them much easier than the slightly longer reading level 1 books. Bottom line: If your kid loves the rescue bots, I would recommend both versions - these phonics ones for them to read with help, and the reading level 1 books so that you can read to them. For us, it's worth it to have both.
My 6 year old LOVES Rescue Bots so he was so happy when he opened this on his birthday. He enjoys the books and asks to read them almost daily. I'd say they are well worth money, just wish they were a little longer.
