I bought the three book gift set before I found this four book set. Since I want to have the complete collection for my daughter, I ordered this one as well. I have bought many children's books and I must say this is one of the most beautiful books. My daughter is in kindergarten and she enjoys the book tremendously. This book set is cheaper than the three book set, but has better quality than the other one. I have given my three book set to my friends since then.
I love Frog and Toad. The characters are relatable, the stories are funny, and the illustrations are beautiful. The books are at the right difficulty level for a beginning reader to practice, but they're also amusing enough for parents to enjoy reading and rereading them with their kids. These are what kids' books should be.This particular tome is all four Frog and Toad books in a high-quality hardback book. Nothing is compromised, shrunk, or abridged here. This is a big, 256-page book containing everything from the original four books.I want to buy this for every kid I know.
I loved these stories as a kid, and now my 5 and 7 year old love reading these. The stories are simple enough for my 5 year old who is a beginning reader, and funny enough to keep my year old engaged. The quality of the book is excellent. We will keep it forever.
Good old Frog and Toad, the pace and tone of these stories is so calm yet warm, they are perfect for getting kids ready for a good night's sleep. Intelligently written, too - they don't feel like you are talking down to your kids. Beautiful stories and pictures, and this is a big book, even so we read through it pretty quickly as they want to hear one after the other.
I LOVED these stories as much as my children did when they were very small. We still love to open these books and enjoy the memories. Of all the children's books I might have parted with, these could never leave my house! I bought this book to use as material in a preschool program. I find the stories are simple enough to be enjoyed by the youngest children, and offer something for those who comprehend a bit more. Each story presents an opportunity to discuss feelings, problems and how they were resolved, etc. Not to mention, they are simply endearing and wonderful to enjoy again and again. I never tire of them! I just ordered my second copy of this book from so I can abuse one at school, and have a copy for my home. It just doesn't matter that my children are now 18 and 13. We still giggle about these, and so will their children with grandma one day.
I love all four of the Frog and Toad books, and this book has all four complied together with a hard cover. It is cheaper to buy this book than it is to buy all four of the books separately with paper covers. This book keeps the collection together and is a hard cover. Wonderful for my first grade classroom. I have 12 copies at work and another copy at home for my own children. Every teacher who sees these is jealous and they ask where I got it. So much better than having all the paper backs.
Got this book to read to my son (when he gets older) because it was one I read as a kid. I'm so happy it's still readily available for the next generation of readers.The book itself is a sturdy and glossy hard-cover. It is large, roughly square, but it's actually not too heavy. Little hands should have no problem thumbing through its pages or reading its large letters.
Who doesn't love Frog & Toad? These were 2 of my favorire characters as a child and I love sharing their stories with my children. This collection has all of the stories in 1 book, bound beautifully in hard cover and with lovely margin designs.
