Every combination of cards my 2nd grader needed, less than half the price of local educational kid stores locally, plus no hassle at the malls and no missed time with work or family. 90% of what we need for our large family can be dropped at your door, and the prices are even better when you consider the time that is saved which translates into more money since time=money. This is extremely benificial especially when you use it with visuals, for example each set we work on I use crayons so my child can see along with the card exactly what is happening and why. The crayons are great my child has so many we never run out.. If its 5 minus 3, I will put five crayons on top and three below it and take it away and it just reflects perfectly and it solidifies what my child is learning. At the same time makes it fun. That way the child will enjoy doing it and makes learning fun. Going through just the cards can bore them easily you can introduce different things whatever suits your child the best. But a great learning flash card and gets them ready for math for sure
My child is in the second grade and her teacher recommended buying flash cards to get them to recognize math facts faster. She breezes right thru them but I have noticed she gets her timed tests done faster than she used to. In the beginning I was looking for something with pretty pictures but that only distracts them from what you are trying to get accomplished and with these she focused on the math and not the pictures.
Simple flash cards that has helped our Kindergarten age child in his studies. We have found that these flash cards has helped our child and he is learning at a quick pace. We try to make it fun for him by presenting this as a game show. He is excited every time we do this.
I bought these a while ago and had used them inconsistently. We started this summer using them regularly and I just realized that the highest number is 12....so it's 12 minus another number. We have the Brighter Child addition, multiplication, time/money flashcards and they are great especially for the price. However, for the subtraction I realize now, I'll have to buy a different set as I'd like my child to practice 24-12 or 17-9 (for example) as well.
These are extremely nice flash cards. The numbers are big and bright. The paper is sturdy and has held up very well with three kids using them almost every day. They are plain and simple, and get the job done. When the time comes, I will be purchasing the multiplication and division.
These are basic flash cards. A flash card is a flash card and they're cheap so that's fine. The answers are on the top corner of the reverse side of the card and these are cheap.However, a set that includes cards with the top number up to eighteen (such as 15-7 and 18-9) would be more useful as those problems need to be memorized also. I'll need to either buy another set of cards for those or make my own.
In fairness, maybe I didn't read well enough but you should know these subtraction cards are very basic. They're more appropriate for my first grader ( lot's of cards like 7-1 or 6-0) but they are not challenging enough for my second grader. The card material is excellent as is the size of the numbers.
