As usual, Anna made a cute little book about Llama and his Mama. I wish it was longer but it's just one of her little board books. It's cute how she added touch n feel details though. We own almost all of the Llama books and they never disappoint.
Great book with rhyming words which helps with learning to read. Brief enough for our 2 year old to enjoy and keep her attention. Long enough to be a teaching source for our 4 year old. llama llama is great!
The Llama Llama board books are much simpler than the original paper books, which is fine for younger kids, but may have a hard time keeping their interest as they grow. Llama Llama Nighty Night is that way for my kid (20 months old) - too simple, moving on Mom! However, even though Llama Llama at the Beach is simple, the touch/feel aspect keeps his interest, so we haven't outgrown this one yet. We live in Florida, so we always read this one in the days leading up to a beach trip. It's a good book for little ones, but I don't expect my toddler's interest to last much longer.
I love the Llama Llama series and this is a nice biard book, but has very little actual words. My son got bored immediately.
Got this for my grandchildren when we returned from the beach. They are just over a year but they love it and really touch and feel. It is a short book but the items to touch are more tactile than in some books.
This was disappointing compared to the other Llama Llama board books. It does have a touch and feel component which is something new for little ones who enjoy this series. However, it's very short and the story is not at all exciting for toddlers to follow. My son often gets bored half-way through, and it is super short to begin with!
My 3-year old loves almost every Llama llama book, and this one is no exception. While it is definitely geared toward babies and younger toddlers, it is engaging and so cute. Each page has a sweet little rhyme or two describing llamas day at the beach along with a touch-and-feel picture all with different textures. This board book (and the others) are much shorter than the hard and soft back books.
Llama llama books are always a hit with my grandkids! They are cute, have relevant topics to what young children may be doing, adorable pictures and are just the right length for a board book and little ones. We live across the street from the beach so this one has been much enjoyed!
