I really love this calendar. Be forewarned, this is not for the beginning Spanish learner. It would be a great way to supplement and stretch your already existing vocabulary. Each page has a word, a sample sentence, a pronunciation guide, and an English translation. Sample words include: curar, posteriormente, el matiz, la porqueria, mezclar, anguistiodo/da, etc.
Wife is learning Spanish. She says "I like that this calendar provides words and phrases that haven't yet come up in my Spanish classes. I transfer the ones that will be especially useful to flash cards. I'm using it out of sync with the calendar dates but it doesn't matter. A new word a day, on any day, is extremely helpful!"
Not what i expected. teh words/phrases that are chosen are not what you consider "everyday words" or even basic. I bought this for a friend who doesn't speak spanish. It was intended to help her learn the language. I would have prefered a more basic selection of phrases.
Words and phrases are fine. I bought it hoping to use the audio app. Have worked on doing that numerous times. Infinite loop. Useless and a marketing ploy (each time I go in, I am presented with multiple other page a days I can buy).
Looking forward to learning a new word each day of this next year. And it doesn't look like they are only easy words either!
Got this as a gift for my MIL who is an beginning-intermediate Spanish learner. She said the words are a bit challenging but that she prefers that to them being too simple.
