Combine your love of fashion history and "coloring books" with this lovely Dover publication that will take you down memory lane with authentic illustrations based on actual clothing sold through Sears in the early 1900's. Children and adults will treasure this special book with 32 pages to make your very own!Recommended.

As an author of children's historical novels this is exactly what I need to give me a mental picture of what fashions for children were like. This coloring book would also make a great teaching tool, and perhaps it might interest a child in something besides the moment of today. I think I would have loved this book as a child. I know I certainly do as an adult. Well done!

The illustrations are beautiful but is a little hard for actual coloring. Several of the illustrations contain a lot of black and several others have faded out designs that you can barely see. There are also a couple of outfits where the printed design on one side is different than what is printed on the other side such as there may be 3 stripes on the left hand sleeve but only 2 stripes on the right hand sleeve.

The Dover coloring books are all really good I've found. This was purchased for my 8 year old but it's great for adults too. I love to color and my daughter and I color these together. We have other Dover coloring books and they are full of detail. SO, if you are an adult that likes to color or an older child I recommend these books.

We were in awe when we first saw this book. It's very beautiful & modest! I've been looking for a book with modest girls for a long time & finally found it! The artist did a wonderful job with lots of intricate detail & beautiful faces! I highly recommend it. It definitely was above my expectations. Will get more for gifts. I got it for my 5 year old but will color myself too. I'll make copies so we can reuse it multiple times.

This attractive book is tempting me to go buy a box of crayons.I ordered it because I wanted to get some idea of children's clothing of that period for the purpose of making doll costumes. The detailed illustrations will make that task much easier, and there are enough color pictures on the front and back covers to provide some ideas. The pictures are adapted from Sears catalogs of the time, so they should give an excellent idea of what the average little American girl or boy was wearing.Fun for girls of all ages!

Unlike some of the higher end coloring books the pages in this coloring book are not perforated for easy removal and the pages are printed on both sides of each page. This adds to the chance of bleed-through so I recommend using pencils or crayons when coloring in this book. Still the pictures are interesting, diverse and quite interesting and fun to color. Most definitely worth coloring. Nothing's insanely complex but also nothing's childishly simple. This is quite relaxing.

I love historically correct products to read and now to color. This coloring book serves the purpose. Not only are the pictures quite awesome but the author gives you a short blurb about the history. I absolutely love this coloring book and would buy more from this author. '
