This is our first Sticker Dolly Dressing book, but my 7 year old adores it. We're studying world history right now as part of our homeschool curriculum and this ties in nicely. Since other reviews cover the over-all cuteness (it's adorable), I'm focusing more on the homeschool tie-in and it's appropriateness for my high functioning autistic daughter.There are 12 different historical backgrounds:Ancient EgyptAncient RomeAncient ChinaMedieval timesSpain in the 1500sFrance in the 1770sEngland (1810)Victorian times (1890s)England in the 1920sAmerica in the 1950sLondon in the 1960splus a "Design your own" page. Each background has at least one male and female character in stylized historical undergarments. Each corresponding sticker page is well labeled (and color coded), which makes is *so* much easier to figure out where to put historical accessories. There's not a lot of room for creative placement - it's strictly "put the sticker in the proper place" - but that's perfect for my daughter: she likes to know exactly where things go.Each page has some simple text about the clothes and the setting - saying that the Victorian ladies (who are going to the opera, by the by) "wear tight corsets under their dresses" is as technical as it gets - but I think it's entirely appropriate for the intended age group.Overall, I think it's great little book that any girl with a sticker fetish would like. Homeschoolers will find it a fun history tie in for the early elementary set (assuming you don't have issues with underwear) and for the rare spectrum girl, it's a great thing to hand off when you want them to sit quietly and fixate over stickers for an hour.
