This is a very simple step by step drawing book. It uses shapes and lines to create some impressive looking animals. The book uses colors that are eye catching and appealing to children. Both my 5 year old daughter and I learned to draw some great looking animals. This book and others in the series helped a hopeless artist survive kindergarten homework that required drawing.
this book has really easy to follow step by step instructions that walk you through drawing all kinds of different animals. There is a cat, lion, rabbit, dolphin, monkey, lizard, teddy bear, hen, tiger, frog, horse, turtle, flamingo, reindeer, and a bee. Most drawings are only 4-5 steps each.My 4 year old was easily able to follow the instructions. Steps are numbered so no reading is required. This is a great book and lots of fun
My son is 6 years old and he loves this book. The instructions are very clear, he has no difficulty in following them. He has created dozens of pictures since buying the book and is quite happy to spend hours simply making pictures. He gets a real sense of accomplishment from being able to create the pictures. I highly recomend this book.
I am currently buying this book for my nephew as a stocking stuffer. I bought this book for my 10 year old daughter 3 years ago, but I have to tell you that my whole family still uses it. Great illustrations, not to mention easy to follow directions! Everytime my daughter has a poster project that entails drawing a animal we pull this book off the shelf. I recommend this book to anyone.
I bought this book for my daughter when she was 3. She was drawing stick people and I wanted to give her ideas of other things she could draw using simple shapes. We used a big white board and drew animals together. Now, at age 4, she draws really cute simple animals all by herself. She gets this book out, her paper and crayons, and loves making pictures for everyone.
This was a great book for kids to learn to draw animals from. My 5 1/2 year old daughter is really into it, and even the boys in the neighborhood enjoy using it too!
A total hit with my grandson. He sat on the floor all evening drawing animals. When his parents came to pick him up, he showed it to them and then asked to take it home with him. I'm impressed!If you have a child who demonstrates an interest in or a love for drawing, this book it totally fantastic!
My 5 year old and 8 year old love this book. We already had another book from this series, I Can Draw People, and it was so well liked I ordered this one as a Christmas gift. I'm so glad I did! My kids have really enjoyed it! Would definitely recommend!
