Awesome series! In my case, my son does not enjoy reading that much (would much prefer to do math problem or science experiment). These books were a great mix of comic book style, humor, and full real reading. I look for more opportunities to purchase books from this author.
My son is a VERY reluctant reader and he LOVES this series! It was the first time he ever wanted to read by himself without being forced! He actually brings all 4 to school each day and rereads the funny parts with his friends! I wish there were more books in the series!
My 2nd grade son is reading a bit above grade level and should be reading chapter books, but isn't that interested in initiating independent reading. Kung Pow Chicken series is a motivating collection of books that he wants to read independently and will read over and over again.
I teach first grade and my students, especially the boys, love these books! I had to purchase multiple copies of them because they are so popular. The colorful graphics and fun stories are delightful. Although leveled at beginning second grade, my first graders can handle these with a little support by mid to end of year.
Great illustrations and humor - Cliffhanger book our little readers. They couldn't wait to read the next page - unlike many fluff books. This was great! =)
Again, my son loved this. Super silly, yet clever, this graphic novel gets kids to read!
My little Mister loved this - we have all in series. Good giggle for all ages.
