These little pocket books are full of information, pictures and spark an interest for anyone wishing to learn about historical figures. I give this to 8 - 13, who enjoy learning about strong women, even if you disagree with the politics or decisions. All the books in this series are highly recommended and make a perfect collection.

My fourth grader liked this, but he is not a great reader so we took turns. He found the facts about her like pretty compelling which says a lot for him.I enjoyed it too. We read parts of Joan of Arc : In Her Own Words, more more adult book, with this and it was great to see how she felt about some of the things in the biography.

We used this book for a report our 7th grader was preparing. It was extremely clear, easy to navigate, and full of good visuals and pictures.

Great looking book. Perfect for mid-grade to middle school readers. Would recommend as it has the right balance of photos and illustratins to text for youthful readers. Detailed enough for mature readers who want only a little information, and then may go on to further research.

This is not "A photographic story of a life" as stated on the cover since photography didn't exist in Joan's lifetime. But it's a good biography that tries to separate fact from fable about a fascinating historic figure and saint.

This book is geared toward children. Lots of pictures and short descriptions. My mistake!
