Illustrated Helen Walker Homan contributes her third volume to the Vision Books series of saints for youth in this story of the life of the greatly beloved St. Anthony of Padua. Homan covers many of the important and exciting events in Friar Anthony's life including a voyage to the Mohammedan land of Morocco, a shipwreck, and the meeting in Assisi with St. Francis and all of the Friars Minor. From his days as a youth to the dramatic accounts of his powerful preaching and working miracles as a follower of St. Francis, Homan presents a fascinating account of St. Anthony that youth, and all ages, will find enthralling. My son, age 11, needed to do a book report on St.Anthony (his name is Anthony also). We found this book in the library and both read it. I found it to be an enjoyable discovery of the life of St.Anthony. It was easy for him to read and kept his interest. We both were amazed at things we didn't know about St. Anthony of Padua. I bought the book from to keep in our home library.

Our family is dedicated to St. Anthony this year. We are reading this tale in honor of him. My 3 and 5 year old listen to parts of this story a few times a week. They have enjoyed it, simply told and easy to read. Good reading for an older child to do on their own esp for a book report.

Our churches patron saint is St. Anthony. purchases for my class.Good read

My son loves the Vision series! He rereads them all the time.

Bouth this for a gift and my grand son loved it.
